Picture of Pictures of the Bridge to Nowhere
There was a reception and private viewing for contributors to the Bridge to Nowhere exhibition at Dunbar Library this afternoon.
I have three photographs in and have to say that I'm quite pleased with the way they have turned out!
It is so strange, after years of my photos existing only on the laptop, to see them as physical things, and in proper grown-up frames too!
If you get a chance to pop into Dunbar Library, in East Lothian, during February, there are some great photos on show, made all the more interesting by them all having (nominally) the same subject.
The Bridge to Nowhere is a local landmark at Belhaven Beach. It takes walkers across the Biel Burn which cuts acroos the beach at this point, but when the tide comes in the bridge stands above the water, the paths at either side invisible below the surface. It is a popular subject and has many blip appearances. It has been a life-saver for me on several days with no photographs in the camera!
