Purple planets

Spent most of the day food shopping, flat-cleaning and lasagne cooking, ahead of my old school friend, Mary and her partner Russell coming to dinner. It was a really lovely evening - so good to see Mary again after a long time, and to get to know Russell a bit better, too.

Between cleaning and cooking, I took a bit of time out to play with my macro extension tubes again. For a while I've been looking at this beautiful bubbly glass paperweight that my good friend Katherinski bought me, and thinking it'd make a good macro subject. I like the way the big bubble reflects all the other tiny bubbles within itself.
