WestConnex Rozelle Interchange
It wasn’t a perfect afternoon for walking - cold and foggy with drizzle that turned to rain and extensive WestConnex roadworks at Rozelle. Buildings have been demolished, their neighbours exposed and new vistas revealed. The long-derelict White Bay Power Station, in the background, survives.
This enormous Gymea lily rose several metres from the roadside below for the flower to reach eye-level. It’s about 25cm in diameter.
We walked further than planned in search of a decent pub, eventually found one and ended up catching a bus home.
