We should a' been gannin'

Yesterday would have been the 40th running of the Blaydon Race, which, Like the Great North Run and London Marathon, was run for the first time in 1981 
Work prevented me running yesterday, so this morning I popped out for a 5.7 mile run in one of my old shirts.
Hopefully next year, the 40th event can take place on the 40th anniversary of the first.
