GOOD DAYS

The first bit of good luck today was the postman's visit to the door with £50 worth of vouchers to spend at Boyes in way of an apology for an incident that happened last week in their branch in Northallerton where an over keen member of staff stopped us outside in the high street to check our bags for stolen items, the alarm had gone off just as we left the shop, I think it was another couple who squeezed between us as we left that were the culprits, instead of asking security to ask us to step back in this fellow demanded to look in every bag including my wife's handbag (I never get to look in there!). after a lot of phone calls during the week and a lot of 'sorry's' from senior management all was resolved with this mornings letter, so I'm now in possession of some new work shoes & dry feet (see Thursday's blip for details).
The second good thing to happen was the excellent service we received from Curry's/PC world this afternoon, almost a year ago bar three days I brought a new kettle from the branch in Harrogate, as it's a low cost item I threw away the receipt & guaranty card thinking that by the time it wears out the time limit would be well over, anyway on Wednesday I noticed that there was always a pool of water on the worktop whenever I boiled the pot for a drink (I drink a lot of coffee at work, gets me through the sometimes endless sitting about my job entails). Cutting the story short the retailer was happy to exchange it with no questions asked, all I did was show a bank statement that showed the day I purchased it (the amount was wrong as I also brought a new Hoover last year) and hey presto, bobs your uncle.
The photos got nothing what so ever to do with the drivel above, just liked the colour after a bit of tone mapping, turned into a good day around.
