First time ...

…. this season!

I have finally gotten a chippy to eat out of my hand!  It's the first time this season one has been brave enough to go for it!  And I'm thrilled!

Each Summer I will try to coax a chippy into taking a peanut from me and today was the day!  I just love the trust they have in me that I'm not out to hurt them.  When you consider the size difference between me and the chipmunks it just warms my heart that they trust me.
