Monmouth Town

Day 81 of COVID-19 UK lockdown.

It's Mrs BB birthday, and although overcast it was about 18C, and she was insistent she wanted to do another wild water swim along the River Wye for about 1.25 miles to Wye Bridge, Monmouth.

Whilst waiting with a towel and the kettle boiling, I took an aerial photograph of Monmouth Town over the A40.

Mrs BB was shivering badly when she got out and suffering from hypothermia. As he started to warm up I got talking to one an expert on wild water swimming, Angela Jones, that has a book out shortly, has been doing it for 35 years and runs courses, etc. I introduced them and Mrs BB will get some expert advice from now on.

The rain has come in as forecast. At least Mrs BB is happy she got her swim in on her birthday!
