Early Bird

It was just before 6 this morning when I heard the kestrel.
From the balcony I sure saw one sitting on top of the neighbours tree again.
Now - looking at it on the big screen - I don''t really know whom I'm looking at. It's not the male (it has a grey head), but is it the female? Or one of the young??? I tend to the young, but it might just look so different because I had the morning light. It turned its head to look (at me?) my direction after I made some funny sounds (do they hear well?).
