Corner shop mask
I had to back to town to post another parcel What a queue at the PO! I ended buying some parcel-weight stamps for the next raft of non-signed for parcels. Queueing is boring.
Eventually I got back home, via the chippie. Wow, I don't think I have had chip shop chips since January! I was in heaven. The smell alone...
Went to the former pub, currently our corner shop, to get some home made food for the freezer, to keep it stocked. Took a snap of this funky homemade mask to show a friend, with whom I'd been chatting online. Was surprised to see a huge new perspex screen up.
Came home, did some online learning (yeah, there's more from school) made a fishy supper. Delicious.
I'm very glad to have been able to get back to the learning, instead of just feeling restless and unable to concentrate. Maybe I can even get back to the weeding, too! The amount of socialising I'm now permitted or expected to do is frankly a little overwhelming, as I have Zooms as well.
Friend D is recovering from Covid-19 , at least for today. I was scared because he did not reply to my texts in the morning, but that was because he had had a rotten day yesterday and had slept in today. He walked to tht letterbox today, wearing a mask. He said he saw no one, except for a cyclist. It must have been strange going out for the first time in twelve days! I'd ordered him a Graze box as a surprise, and had hoped it would come today, but it didn't. However, I've heard that Saturday deliveries of letter post by Royal Mail are back, as of tomorrow. Hurrah! I've missed them.
