School's Out

The school year is over, and we celebrated our rising junior and senior with some chocolate cake tonight. I was talking with my mom while trying to wrangle the cake out of the pan (a mistake) and frost it, without dropping the phone, so it required a lot of decoration to cover its imperfections. But it was consumed without  complaint. Really proud of I. and D. for working hard through the craziness of the fourth quarter. Afterwards we had the pleasure of the kids consenting to watch a movie with us. W's choice: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
