Greenhouse Babies

Bright lights silver beet (chard) living up to its name and pak choi joi choi that I planted earlier this month. They are very small, but I’m hoping to get something to eat from them eventually. They are in black tubs to attract as much warmth as possible. My planting plan was disrupted by the lockdown, which means there will be gaps when I have to buy my greens.

A frosty, sunny, chilly day. Yesterday’s southerly dumped a thick layer of snow on the mountains. Great for the skiers. Mount Hutt ski field has opened for the season.
