Maize

I went up to the crossroads to peer into our neighbour's field to look at his maize - looks good!  The whole crop will be harvested much later on for the silage clamp.

Zoom meeting reunion with old London flatmates - two in Australia in Sydney and Melbourne.  Hadn't seen two of them for decades so it was really good to catch-up.  Afterwards drove to a neighbouring village to deliver a birthday present to a friend who is shielding and also moving home in a fortnight so there are many logistic complications ahead of her.  I am sure it will work out.

Not much rain compared with other areas - only half an inch, the same as the other day.
