Neighbors

My aunt and uncle lived in North Portland next door to Otto and Vernell Rutherford. They became very good friends, this was in the 50s when having friends of a different color was not the norm.
Portland parks has renamed a park after Vernell Rutherford. She and her husband organized the NAACP in the Portland area.
