Mystery Man

First many thanks to everyone who commented on my 600th blip.

As anyone who looks at my journal will know I have been clearing out my loft. I recently came across this handsome fellow. I thought it was a bit of junk jewellery but on closer inspection it may be a miniature portrait.
On the back is written D.F.G Mahony. who died in 1840 aged 68. After drawing blanks on most of the sites I looked in a friend who is into family history thinks that she has found him in Limerick and he may well have been the Mayor there at one time. I am waiting to here from someone who deals in miniatures to get back to me. Exciting!!
