I was up early to get some jobs done. I baked a coffee and walnut loaf cake last night and needed to ice it this morning. I walked to 3 shops and failed to get icing sugar in all of them so had to get a Betty Crocker tub and adapt it. This is the mini one I made to use up the leftover cake mixture.

We spent the afternoon in Gary & Rachel’s garden, thankfully the weather forecast for thunderstorms all afternoon was wrong! Gary did a delicious barbecue and we ate lots of cake (and drank lots of wine). It was so good to see everyone and catch up on the last 3 months.

Got home quite late, and more than a little tipsy, ate some leftover pizza, then went to bed.
