Late Afternoon Over The Sea Of Clouds.
The last quarter Moon hanging low in the sky makes for an easy target from the bedroom window for the ramshackle binocular/camera combination.
Along the terminator the great craters of the lunar Highlands stand out in the late afternoon Sun: Ptolomaeus, Alphonsus and the seeing was so good the central peak of Arzachel can be made out just below centre, as well as Autolycus and Aristillus in the Sea of Rains just above.
Sometimes the Moon can appear so close when the atmospheric conditions are just right, that you could almost fly over and be there in lunar orbit just in time for a late lunch.
