Grasses
Another early morning walk with Finlay - gloomy and dull again, but not raining!!
The grasses on the verges of the paths are blooming - they haven't been cut back yet this year - and I was struck by just how colourful and delicate the flowers are.
A couple of different ones here (or maybe the same types at different ages). I used a wide aperture to throw the background out of focus (and keep shutter speed up as the were moving a bit). However, it does mean that a fair bit of the flower is out of focus!
The highlight of the day was a walk to the bottle bank - yay!
Looks like I may be allowed of my cage later in the week. Last night our son sent me a video of water pouring out of his electric shower and it looks like something has failed inside. It is not the pressure relief device, so not an immediate fix. He has ordered a new unit just in case this one cannot be repaired. Dad to the rescue. Might just replace it anyway - it is 10 years old and the new one is only £60.
Sausages and Yorkshire puds for tea - deconstructed toad-in-the-hole.
Did you hear about the magic tractor?
..
It turned into a field! Our daughter's favourite joke - 30 years ago :-)
