Great Crested Grebe.

Out a little later this morning and we were plagued with bikes along the canal. In fairness, most were polite enough to say “thank you” as we stepped aside for them.
I was really pleased to see this little guy though. They have bred as we also saw a female with little “humbugs” on her back but she was too far off for a clear photo.
It turned out to.be a very pleasant and warm afternoon and we had a further walk round with Chloe and chatted with a couple of neighbours. If there is one thing I really miss about the current situation it is the not being able to sit down with friends and neighbours and chat over tea/coffee and cake.
