Jack and the beanstalk

My two cucumber plants are growing by the day. You can just see a new cucumber near the bottom of the left hand plant. I have already harvested one and they are very crunchy and tasty.
We both cleared a lot of the leaves in the shared garden and put them through our munching machine. We have almost instant leafmould. 
We had a FaceTime call with our son in Canada later. He is painting the last room in his house today. He wanted to discuss with us his next project, putting some plant borders in his front garden. We have given him some ideas. Our grandsons over there have finished their online lessons for the summer and school will resume in early September as usual. They normally have exams the last two weeks of June but these have been cancelled.
