Long awaited

The peony is flowering! You can see the lovely deep pink petals here. We have another in bud in another bed which I think may be the pale pink Sarah Bernhardt, but it’s a few days behind this one.

So happy they’re both flowering this year as this is the third year we’ve had them. The Ards Man has planted two new shrublings (very small as that’s all that was for sale) but at least I now know to be patient.

Peonies are worth waiting for. :)
