Dodging the Thunder

 in the Forest of Bowland. A lovely circular 8.5 mile walk from Chipping. Thunder and rain moved into the village as we left and then hit the fells just as we came down. Very few other people to be seen, and the birding highlights included a spotted flycatcher and a barn owl. But no cuckoos were heard. Too late, I fear.
