Big Hole

So last night after I blipped, our neighbour who is a builder popped round to give advice on the concrete fireplace. He ended up chiselling a chunk out so our cunning plan of just putting a rug over it was thwarted.

While I’ve accounted today, MrRoly has dug out the concrete and the top layer of bricks. The cat has found the hole and been for a good investigate under the floor space, returning covered in cobwebs.

MrRoly is currently trying to get a piece of wood in place to act as a batten/joist for the floorboards (when we get them). Meanwhile I have had a good go at giving stuff away on Facebook to try and stop the house looking so much like Steptoe’s Yard...
