Ladstone Rock, Norland Moor
SUNDAY
We managed a 10 km walk exploring the footpaths around Norland Moor in the sunshine.
One of the features on the top of the moor is the Ladstone Rock. The Ladstone Rock is on top of Norland Moor. The name comes from the Celtic word for kill and local folklore has it that it was used as a place where witches were thrown to their deaths in the Middle Ages.
Lots of butterflies (Meadow Brown in extra) and a couple of buzzards overhead.
