Mr Bullfinch

After a cloudy start the sun put in an appearance late morning :-)

It was a lovely afternoon for a walk ...... blue sky & sunshine .... with a slight breeze ...... just right :-)

We went for a walk along the road with a quick detour through the little wood to avoid a crowd of people that were taking up the whole road! So much for social distancing!

Much quieter when we got past Pioneer & Beech Wood ...... we avoided that as it was full of people! We ended up with our usual walk up 'the road' ...... always a great place to see plenty of wildlife.

We saw & heard a pair of Oyster Catchers fly overhead ...... a Kestrel hunting ....... the Whitethroat, Dunnock, Chafffinch & Goldfinch were all singing ...... watched Swallows, Swifts & House Martins swooping ..... fabulous!

We also came across the Bullfinch family again ....... after managing to get a photo of Mrs on Friday ...... today I managed to get Mr Bullfinch! Still haven't managed to get a photo of the young yet ..... unfortunately they were staying well hidden in the branches! Maybe another day! :-)
