Peas for tea

About a month ago my next door neighbour gave me three pea plants. Today the five year old harvested the first pod. Not really enough for a meal - there was one pod only - but a bit of fun. Here they are fresh as could be.

We had garden visitors today including the two girls. Absolutely lovely as always to see them. The rather damp and misty morning gave way to a hot and sunny summer day. I'm planning to sit out in the fading heat this evening. I don't think I'll have to water though. Its going to rain soon.

Who would have thought that a populist politician (BJ) wouldn't work out that a footballer's impassioned request, based on his own experience, wouldn't find popular favour. Anyone could have told him but it seems they didn't. Till later.
