Alien Invasion

Right at the back of the greenhouse there's a little patch of soil we use for growing salad leaves early in the year. They are a bit past it now, nibbled by something and running to seed. I reached in and grabbed a handful, intending to send them on their way to the compost heap - and there were these strange little fungi gazing up at me. I've no idea what they are, but I rather like them.

A tale of a strange visit from the eldest. Last night Caitie woke up and came downstairs saying there was a dark shadow flitting about her bedroom. They told her it was just a bad dream.

This morning when Magnus went into the kitchen, he found a bat sitting on the worktop .... It has been safely returned to the great outdoors.
