Gone Fishing!

Today it was very windy and over-cast but milder. Alexander wanted to go trout fishing so we ventured out to Kaizlie Gardens which is on the side of the River Tweed a few miles outside of Peebles.

It was rather deserted, just a few intrepid fly-fishermen sitting huddled under their umbrellas and those who had come out for a Sunday ride and sought the warmth and comfort of a cup of tea and cake in the restaurant.

I sheltered in the garden and took photographs whilst the boys braved the wind-swept fishing pond! It was worth it, they caught three beautiful rainbow trout which Andy has since gutted and filleted.
