Gooseneck Lane, Headcorn
Had another trip out today (or "micro-trip" as me and my brother have taken to calling them, as they are only short drives to somewhere nearby for a walkabout for about an hour or so). This time we went through Loose, via Boughton Monchelsea and Chart Sutton to Headcorn. This image is of a very narrow backstreet lane in Headcorn called Gooseneck Lane. I cannot find any reference as to why it has this name. A gooseneck can be the neck of a goose (obvs), a type of barnacle, a sailing rigging attachment, a crowbar or even a kind of chopper motorcycle!
