Excitement in the pond

Exciting delivery of pond plants for the new pond today.   Immediately planted so the resident newts have started exploring. This guy was swimming around just under the surface.

Really hot this afternoon so although some weeding was undertaken there was also much sitting in the sun with a cold drink.
