What a joy it was to have a visit from Sarah today! You may recall that she and I worked together in my previous job, but she’s not ‘just’ a former colleague, she’s a dear friend who’s been a great support to me in many ways over the years. 

In the few months before lockdown we found ourselves working in the same building again, though on different floors, so we were able to have occasional impromptu meetings on the stairs and we’d usually meet up for lunch once a week.

Since lockdown, we’ve continued to have weekly video catch-ups but it was particularly lovely to see her in person today for a walk and a talk. She even brought her husband Steve and dog Roxy along for the stroll! These recent opportunities to meet up with friends continue to give me a real boost - although I feel the loss of hugs very keenly!
