The Knautia was attracting lots of visitors in the early morning sunshine.  There were various species of bees, flies, this beautiful Small Tortoiseshell butterfly and the Goldfinches pecking at the seed heads..
As I type this Sammy (squirrel) is hanging upside down on the peanut feeder, oblivious that I am watching him devouring enough that would  keep the birds fed for days, bless him!!
There was lots of thunder this afternoon but no rain as yet, I think that could all change in the next few hours though, if the forecast is to be believed.
