Sunday race

Today the road through our village was closed because of the annual Herald cycle race...it's always a good time for the neighbours to gather on the pavements and have good chats while cheering the cyclists on their way.

The photographers always meet and we have a great time discussing our hobby - the subject of panning always comes up and this is what I was concentrating on today. I deleted most of my pics but was happy with this one!
It was a lovely morning - a bit overcast which made it cooler for the race..and then this afternoon the heavens opened and we had the most wonderful soaking rain. What a blessing, and hopefully this will be the end of all the fires, and give the overworked firemen a well deserved rest,
