Raindrops on roses

It's been a steamy day today. Got laundry dry before the rain and managed a spell of reading in the garden before lunch.  After lunch had a reading session with my Readeasy student on WhatsApp. Murray wasn't happy about the thunderstorm but did eventually settle.
This evening had a zoom meeting with a group campaigning to protect their local park from a hideous, massive building proposal. Similar but different in some respects to our campaign. What struck me was how many voluntee were capable of the more technical aspects and unlike our group more individuals broadband connected.  Many of our group cannot afford broadband and rely on data from their phone contracts to connect to the internet.  But maybe we can join forces to protect our green spaces which we've always valued but have become crucial during this pandemic.
