I felt quite emotional that the neighbours have put up a hanging basket as it looks so pretty. I think it was when I was thinking what the state of the building has been over the years. One of the best things the Council has done is to fence off the backie into individual gardens. It has helped garner a real sense of community. Recently  we had a family move in and the mum has transformed the garden and the building with her cleaning painting and gardening. Another of the neighbours has been working hard as well. I do feel a bit guilty sometimes as my contribution has been some overgrown raspberries and a couple of random little bits. I am always very appreciative to her though.
