Just in time

My poppies were looking like this this morning. This afternoon we have had a horrendous storm with hail, rain and thunder. Now they have been decimated, leaving only the stalks.
The road outside the house flooded and as the house sits slightly below street level we were in danger of water coming in the house. Luckily it didn't.
