Danger Passed - For Now

I have been offline from Blip for a few days; busy doing other stuff and no decent blip opportunities.  Then, today, Mrs SoL called me just after leaving the house to walk Elvis. Apparently, there was a deer on the edge of the woods behind our house - did I want to try and see?  Well I did, and there was. This was taken from our upstairs window; the deer were (yes, there were two) about 150 metres away. Long lens and lots of hope.  It was lovely to see this year’s fawn with still some of its spots out with its mum. Probably born earlier in Spring.  One of the benefits of lockdown is that the hunt has not been allowed out to decimate the deer population. I have seen quite a few, who are less fearful of humans. I’m hoping they are not too trusting when the hunt gets going again in Autumn. They have quotas they are allowed to shoot each year. Knowing the mentality of the Head of the local hunt, he will be pushing for an increase in quota for 2020-2021, simply because they have not managed to kill their quota this year!  We’ll see.  In the meantime, its lovely to watch the deer out.  Extra pic is not as sharp, but I managed to put the doubler on the lens to get a bit closer.
