Waterperry
backblip
Spoilt for choice what to post today but as the purpose of the trip was snowdrops, here are some.

At Oxford visiting A, who's excited about a poetry, patchwork and stories evening she's doing at Easter, to raise funds for the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture. Details nearer the time.
We went out to visit Waterperry Gardens, at Waterperry (unsurprisingly) which is where the snowdrops were. I'd not been before. It's an interesting combination of large house (private), its gardens, a Garden Centre, cafe, gift shop and gallery. The 'riverside' was rather spectacularly flooded.
The gallery contained a selection of good quality artefacts and I was tempted by, and purchased, a small pot which an amazing multi-colour glaze. (This could well be a future blip).

Quite a good trip home - amazing what just a lightening of traffic can knock off a journey time.
We joined J & S in watching O Brother, Where Art Thou? - "Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey", set in the deep south during the 1930's." - different.
