Wild Poppies

These wonderful frilly poppies have been growing at the roadside just near to the entrance of the little woods that  we walk in. I have tried to photograph them a few times in recent days - but they have been relegated as other blip shots came along.

I thought I had better get them done today as they are beginning to fade - you can see the large seed pod developing in the right hand flower.

It was quite gloomy when I took the shot so it’s not the best colour. It looks fabulous in large and you can see the early morning dew still on the petals.

Another afternoon of stocktaking, photographing fabrics and updating the website, whilst Mrs madwill processed the orders.
