In the summer a treeless street is 5.5C hotter than a tree lined one, property in treeless streets is worth 18% less than in roads that have trees, asthma rates for children fall 25% for every extra 350 trees per sq km, and that calling trees 'trees' is actually pretty meaningless and would be like telling someone a ladybird was called a 'creepy crawlie'.
I must say, I've not seen trees being craned in by the lorry load before though - well done Manchester!
