I was going to highlight the lizard I caught sunning himself. Bunker wasn't aware of it, so I got to get in closer than usual (extra). 

A couple of dragonflies were taunting me hunting over the pool. I put up the umbrella, stuck my feet in the pool and tried to get an inflight shot. It was frustrating, until this young woodpecker landed on one of the elata yucca flower stems. What a surprise! I did not know we had these in the area.

The red top knot is just starting to come in. 

I am so grateful those frustrating dragons were keeping me outside.
