Sitting on the fence

Staring me out . I think this is a Black Headed Gull , and has probably never seen the sea , as we are so far inland , here they are quite common near the rivers and gravel pits ( also landfill sites ) . As it was raining this morning a quick trip out this afternoon brought its rewards.
