in the clouds

i don’t often time mornings - just right anymore to see the sunrise - either i’m too early or find - i have just missed it - this morning it couldn’t have - been better timing - the sky in my part of the city - was full of clouds - to greet the morning sun - as it cast ribbons of color - across a vast horizon - swirling together in shades - of yellow, orange and purple - as usual, the colors didn’t last long - and i only managed to snap - a dozen shots before the sky - darkened into nothingness - leaving me shaking my head - in wonder at what i’d just seen

but the proof is here - a kaleidoscope of colors - in the clouds - which can only lead to...
