A change in the weather

Yesterday we had tremendous thunderstorms and enough rain over half an hour to create a river in the street outside. It was still wet this morning but later in the day the blue sky started to show through so I got out for a stroll. The three birds on the bend in the river are Whooper swans. From close up they looked like 2 adults and a mature cygnet and having just looked up Whooper swans on Google I am told that cygnets from previous years often return to visit their parents. What with Father's Day coming up in England this weekend I think that's rather touching.
