Thursday rain and toads

After looking forward to meeting up with Flavia13 this week the weather has thwarted us. We canceled to day because it was supposed to be heavy rain...( But that didn't come till 2ish) We postponed till tomorrow but the forecast is bad again. Fingers crossed for next Tuesday. 

Up earlyish for me as M wanted to finish the top of the long hedge before the rain came. It was spitting a bit but was ok.

Local walk for Fletch and the rain didn't come till we got home. 

 Decided he wanted some paint for the front door. We ve needed to do it for months but lockdown stopped that. Now B& Q Valspar paint mixer section has reopened so we went there. A nice bright red mixed we were on the way home when M suggested visiting another bathroom showroom . ..on the other side of town. ..that wasn't much good so as we were passing called in another. Came back with brochures and M is very keen again. ! We did see some nice bathroom cupboard units in a deep blue.

Poured for the rest of the day. Online looking at carpets that would go with the deep blue! 

Stopped raining just now and went out slug hunting round the hostas. Found a few snails. Mr Toad was out again and I saw another at the other end of the garden so we have at least 2. I don't think they eat snails as one strolled ( slithered?)  right past the toad without any problem. 

We all had a restless night last night..too warm! Hoping as it's cooler we  should have a better night..as long as Fletch doesn't want to get up at 2am again!
