Neighbours

Friday today and decided to go for a walk this morning while hubby was working. Weather was quite overcast and threatening but headed out. Stepped out the gate to be faced with this red deer hind. We have a herd of about 10 and recently a youngster has appeared.

Went out looking for wheatears and was rewarded with them everywhere - adults and fledglings. Arrived home and this afternoon we had a Male bullfinch in the garden which was a first for us in the garden. Then tonight a cuckoo landed on a fence post - an amazing day - need a lie down
