After the rain

I had today and yesterday off as there wasn't much going on at work. As it happens I had plenty to do and spent all yesterday morning doing work things and then on and off today...

Yesterday we saw the architect to discuss options for the house. We bought the house knowing it needed a lot of work on it and yesterday we saw the proposal, today she came with the mason to discuss if one of the options was even viable. We are looking at €115k as the base quote rising to €150k for the second more desirable option. While those figures are eye watering, they are what expected and what we had budgeted for when we bough the house. Anyhow the mason said while possible the second option would be essentially impossible because getting the machinery required into the space was just not viable or safe.

After taking my mother-in-law's dog for his walk, he did a lot of sniffing and digging in the wet grass, I took this picture of a chive flower that had just had a wash in the rain. Like the dog I don't think it minded the rain as much as we did!
