Nighttime Visitors

Dear Diary,

My friends B & T  gave me a lovely Swedish star light to hang in my hall window last year for my birthday and I love it.  It also has an added benefit of attracting some very interesting nighttime visitors.  The Rosy Maple Moth on the left has come several times and the speckled gold one (I can't identify it yet) is a new visitor.  Every morning I check the little front porch to see if there is a new guest!  Another horrible hot day in store.  The garden is parched and not looking its best because of lack of rain.

On another point of identification...I wrongly called a female Rose Breasted Grosbeak a Song Sparrow the other day.  Silly mistake.  The beak was the give-away!
