Fruit Bowl?

This macro shot from the garden looks disturbingly like an ornate and exotic fruit bowl. There's definitely things that looks like bananas, apples and lemons in there as well as things that might be yellow pickled onions ...

A year ago Mark and I were on Skye still, about to enjoy an evening in our air b-n-b.  As we were miles from the nearest hotel or bar, we had some "supplies" with us to help while away the evening.  We were joined by a very nice couple who very happily sat down for an evening's drinking with us as we looked out northwards at the sea and the sky in the late evening sunshine.  Given the time of year it didn't get dark until very late indeed.  We didn't have a fruit bowl available to us, but as I recall they had brought a selection of cheeses on a tray and insisted on our trying some. In the end we gave in, and very nice they were too.  I seem to remember that the next morning at breakfast they were rather subdued .... nothing to do with the cheese.
