Black Lives Matter

At lunchtime today there was a Black Lives Matter demonstration which was peaceful and moving. 2,500 people gathered on the town seafront and some very moving stories were heard. Those that could (which was 99%) of the crowd were asked to kneel for 8 mins 47 secs which was how long George Floyd was subject to police torture. The silence was tangible and we all realised just how long this poor man suffered for. I’m so pleased we went along!
