Currently sailing in Scotland is restricted to day sails, anchoring permitted but no going ashore. All boats must return to home port and no overnight stays on board.

So all in all very limited, the season is close to its mid point, many boats remain on hard and some owners may decide to forget sailing this year.

The consequences for the many skilled and dedicated staff employed in support of Scottish sailing may rightly wonder how secure their jobs will be.
